We're choosing the global theme for World IA Day 2027!
There are no specific qualities for the global theme. However, the global theme should be flexible, relatable, memorable, and inclusive. Once the theme has been selected, the global board will collaborate on the description to make sure that it achieves all those points.
Past WIAD organizers were asked to suggest a theme title, description, and importance. All of the submissions can be found
here.
You will be able to vote each theme proposal, and you can vote for more than one theme:
-1 = No
0 = Neutral
1 = Yes
At the end of this vote, each theme proposal will have a total score and the points will be aggregated across the votes. The co-presidents (Xander and Grace) will tally up all the results and announce the results if there is a clear winner. If need be, we'll extend this voting round to include local organizers.
We hope to have a theme selected by the second week of July and then the public announcement by the end of July.
